Its now final. I am no longer employed at Costco. After 12 years of walking and running on a concrete floor and lifting heavy things, I was told by my doctors that if I wanted to continue working until retirement, I need to make a career change. So, with the assistance of a career councilor and a councilor from the government of New Brunswick PSET&L (Post Secondary Education, Training and Labor), it has been decided that the best course of action for me is to return to school for re-training.
I have chosen to attend CompuCollege to take thier course called Information System Specialist +. This course will allow me to land a new career in the IT industry as a Network Designer, Network Administrator, Technical Support, Network Engineer or Network Security Specialist.
It's a two year program starting in July of 2007.
Wish me luck! Its going to be a rough couple of years financially.
